
Chandigarh, August 30: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) has announced job openings for various positions, including a Security Officer. The last date to apply for these roles is September 14.
The vacancies include one Security Officer (Group-B), one Receptionist (Group-B), and four Drivers (Group-C). The online application process began on August 14 and will close on September 14 at 5 PM. Interested candidates can complete their registration on the official CSIR-CSIO website before the deadline.
For the Security Officer position, applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in security, preferably as a former military JCO (Subedar or higher) or in a similar role within paramilitary forces. Short Service Commissioned Officers and those working as Assistant Commandants in CRPF/BSF/ITBP with a previous pay scale of ₹8,000 to ₹13,500 need five years of experience. Additionally, paramilitary force inspectors must also have 10 years of experience.
Candidates applying for the Receptionist position should hold a graduation degree and have two years of relevant experience as a receptionist in a government, autonomous body, or public sector undertaking. For the Driver position, a valid driving license for LMV and HMV, practical knowledge of motor mechanics, at least three years of driving experience, and passing the 10th grade are mandatory.
The maximum age limit is set at 35 years for the Security Officer, 28 years for the Receptionist, and 27 years for the Driver, calculated as of the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection will be based on application screening, physical tests, written exams, skill tests, and a final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹1,42,400, depending on the position.
Applicants must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹590 for general/OBC/EWS categories. SC/ST/PWD/ESM and female candidates are exempt from the registration fee.
