New Delhi, August 4: Nirmal Jain, recently appointed as the chairperson of the Delhi Minority Commission, expressed his happiness and pride regarding his new role. He assured that government schemes will be effectively implemented at the grassroots level.
Jain described his appointment as a symbol of trust from the party leadership and the Delhi government. He committed to working diligently to protect the interests of all minority communities and ensure that government initiatives reach those in need.
In an interview with a news agency, Jain expressed pride in being entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Delhi State Minority Commission. He thanked Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for this opportunity and acknowledged the efforts of the party organization and the Delhi government. According to him, the government is continuously working in line with the aspirations and expectations of the public, and the commission will strive for the welfare of all segments of society.
Jain mentioned that alongside him, Sardar Kuldeep Singh and Mohammad Haroon will serve as members of the commission. He stated that all members will work together to serve the people of Delhi, ensuring that the welfare schemes of both the central and state governments effectively reach all communities under the commission’s purview.
He emphasized that the commission’s goal is not to be limited to one community but to actively protect the interests of all eligible minority groups and address their issues.
Jain highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, a key objective will be to integrate minority communities into the mainstream and encourage their active participation in nation-building. He noted that delivering the benefits of various government schemes to the last person in line and fostering trust among all sections of society will be among the commission’s top priorities.
When asked about the representation of Muslims in the Delhi State Minority Commission, Jain stated that the Chief Minister has the right to appoint qualified individuals from any religion or community. He clarified that appointments are made based on merit and government priorities, and the commission aims to equally protect the interests of all minority communities.
