Nimrat Kaur Shares Heartfelt Experience While Shooting Ab Hoga Hisab

Mumbai, June 19: Actress Nimrat Kaur Ahluwalia is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming series ‘Ab Hoga Hisab,’ where she portrays a character from Punjab. She recently opened up about her experiences during the shooting of the series.

Nimrat expressed, “In this series, I play a Punjabi girl. Since I am Punjabi myself, everything felt very familiar during the shoot. The language, the people, and the culture of Punjab were not new to me. This familiarity allowed me to perform without any pressure, resulting in a natural portrayal.”

She added, “From the first day of shooting, I felt as if I was not on a set but at home. The environment and interactions with the people helped me blend in quickly. I believe when an artist feels connected to their surroundings, it directly impacts their performance. This connection made me feel more comfortable and authentic in my role.”

Nimrat highlighted that the greatest relief in this project was not having to adapt to a new place or culture. “I could focus on the character’s emotions without any pressure and immerse myself completely in the story,” she said.

Reflecting on her shooting experience, she credited the director for creating a special atmosphere. “The director fostered an environment on set where every artist felt at ease. This is especially important when the story is emotionally heavy,” she noted.

Nimrat also emphasized the strong camaraderie within the team. “Everyone worked together harmoniously. Working with my co-star Sanjay Kapoor was a unique experience. He is also Punjabi, which created a special bond between us. We shared many conversations and laughs during the shoot.”

She praised the local people of Punjab, stating, “The warmth we received from the locals was incredible. Many local families sent home-cooked meals for the shooting unit. When people welcome you with such kindness, the shooting team feels like part of the community rather than outsiders.”
