BWF World Championship 2026: Schedule and Key Players Announced for New Delhi Event

New Delhi, August 11: The BWF World Championship 2026 will take place in New Delhi from August 17 to 23, featuring the world’s top badminton players. This prestigious event returns to India after 17 years and will be hosted at the Indira Gandhi Arena.

The championship will include five categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

The competition will kick off with the opening round, followed by a knockout stage. The rounds will progress through the Round of 64, Round of 48, Round of 32, and Round of 16, leading to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. The initial stages will occur on August 17 and 18, with the Round of 32 on August 19 and the Round of 16 on August 20. Quarter-finals will be held on August 21, and semi-finals on August 22. The finals will take place on August 23.

BWF World Championship 2026 Schedule:
August 17: Men’s and Women’s Singles Round of 64; Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles Round of 48.
August 18: Remaining matches for Men’s and Women’s Singles Round of 64; additional matches for Men’s and Women’s Doubles; Mixed Doubles Round of 48 matches.
August 19: Round of 32 matches across all five categories.
August 20: Round of 16 matches for Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
August 21: Quarter-finals for all five events.
August 22: Semi-finals for all five events.
August 23: Finals for all five events.
