Lucknow, April 1: The construction of the Naval Valor Museum in Lucknow’s IT City area is approximately 70% complete. This project is set to become a living symbol of the strength and pride of the Indian Navy.
Designed in the shape of a ship, the museum will feature naval architecture, porthole-style windows, ship railings, and various naval equipment. A special attraction, the ‘Naval Valor Garden,’ is being developed on the premises, where a historic TU-142M aircraft and a Sea King SK-42B helicopter will be displayed.
Additionally, missiles, torpedoes, guns, and anti-submarine equipment associated with INS Gomati have already arrived at the site. The construction is progressing rapidly, and soon, this museum will become a new center of attraction for the residents of the state.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated, “The Naval Valor Museum being built in Lucknow is a matter of pride not just for the state but for the entire country. With about 70% of the work completed, this museum will soon stand as a testament to the indomitable bravery, sacrifice, and maritime strength of the Indian Navy. It is being designed in the form of a ship to provide visitors with a genuine naval experience. Our aim is for this museum to promote tourism while also connecting the younger generation with patriotism and the sacrifices of our soldiers. The ‘Memory Garden’ being developed here will serve as a significant site to pay tribute to our brave soldiers.”
He added, “I am confident that this museum will become a major landmark in Lucknow and attract tourists from across the country. The museum will showcase the naval combat history, strategies, and key operations, including military actions post-Pulwama and Operation Sindoor. Interactive features such as aircraft carrier landing and warship simulators, a 7D theater, a submerged Dwarka model, a digital water screen show, a marine life aquarium, and activities like ‘Dress Like Your Heroes’ will also be included.”
Moreover, a special ‘Memory Garden’ is being developed to honor the valor and sacrifice of soldiers. This garden, rich in natural beauty, is being designed as a serene and meaningful memorial where visitors can respectfully remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. This museum will be the first of its kind in the country, showcasing retired warships and associated equipment, while also granting researchers and students access to rare documents. Regular workshops and lectures will be held here, making it a significant source of inspiration for the youth.
Amrit Abhijat, Additional Chief Secretary of Tourism, Culture, and Charitable Work, noted, “Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, religious and historical sites in the state are being enriched. This museum, located near the Ekana Stadium in CG City, will emerge as a new and important attraction in this series.”

Key naval equipment, including the TU-142M aircraft and Sea King helicopter, will be displayed here. Visitors will gain a real experience of the navy’s history and operations through simulators, a 7D theater, and other digital mediums.
