Greater Noida, June 18: In a significant initiative aimed at ensuring the availability of pure and quality food products for the public, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has launched a comprehensive inspection campaign in Greater Noida. Following directives from the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration in Lucknow and the District Magistrate, the department’s team is actively monitoring the quality of food products and collecting samples of suspicious items for laboratory testing.

Assistant Food Commissioner Suresh Mishra stated that a special campaign is underway to ensure the quality of milk and dairy products in the district. On Thursday, various teams of food safety officials inspected several establishments and collected a total of seven samples.

Food safety officer Mukesh Kumar inspected the milk packaging unit of Continental Milkose India Private Limited located in Habibpur, Greater Noida. A sample of cow’s milk was taken from this facility for testing.

Meanwhile, a joint team of food safety officers Vijay Bahadur Patel and Ravindra Nath Verma conducted an inspection at Sovens Fromage Dairy India Private Limited in Noida Phase-2. They collected a sample of butter, two samples of processed cheese spread, and one sample of cheese from this location.

Additionally, food safety officer Amar Bahadur Saroj collected a sample of paneer from Dabur Dairy located in Sector-45. Food safety officer Ritu Saxena gathered a sample of pizza sauce from Organic Fresh Private Limited in Sector-68 for testing.

According to officials, all seven samples have been sealed and sent to the food laboratory following the prescribed procedures. If any sample is found to violate the established standards upon receiving the test reports, necessary legal action will be taken against the respective establishment under the Food Safety and Standards Act.

Assistant Commissioner Suresh Mishra emphasized that such campaigns will continue in the future to maintain the quality of food products in the district. The department aims to ensure that consumers have access to safe, pure, and standard-quality food and beverages while effectively controlling adulteration.
