New Delhi, March 25: Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia and rising global concerns, leaders from the NDA have commended the all-party meeting convened by the central government. They emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already clarified the situation, stating that decisions in the public interest are forthcoming.
BJP MP Damodar Agrawal spoke to a news agency, saying, “In the current circumstances, dialogue is the best path forward. The entire world is worried about the situation in the Gulf countries, and communication is essential for a peaceful resolution.”
He noted that PM Modi has made it clear that India is in contact with all relevant nations and is working towards peace. Agrawal added that if discussions were to occur with former US President Donald Trump, it should be welcomed.
BJP MP Arun Govil questioned the opposition’s attitude towards the all-party meeting. He remarked that it is perplexing for opposition leaders to raise questions when they have no intention of participating in the discussions.
MP Manan Kumar Mishra stressed the need to strengthen the Indian government and PM’s leadership during this global crisis. He urged all parties to come together for the nation’s benefit.
BJP MP Hema Malini criticized the opposition, stating that while opposing is their role, demonstrating national unity during sensitive times like war is far more critical.
Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske mentioned that the meeting would address the situation in West Asia and include suggestions from the opposition. However, he expressed disappointment over opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s absence, accusing him of limiting himself to mere statements. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi is often missing when it comes to matters of public interest.
Targeting the opposition, Mhaske stated that their sole purpose seems to be misleading the public. He asserted that the people of the country are now aware of who is truly working for their interests.
