NDA Leaders Criticize Tejashwi Yadav, Call Him an Example of Nepotism

Patna, May 10: Political tensions have escalated in Bihar following Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav’s accusations of nepotism against the NDA. NDA leaders responded, stating that those who engage in such practices often perceive others similarly.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi commented, “Tejashwi Yadav speaks without thinking. When his father, Lalu Yadav, went to jail, Rabri Devi was made Chief Minister, despite not even knowing how to write her name. When it came to appointing a Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi was chosen, even though he failed in the ninth grade and is a failed cricketer. Later, Tej Pratap was made Health Minister, and Misa Bharti was given a ticket for parliamentary elections. In contrast, Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant, is an educated engineer who is paving his own way.”

Sarawagi further stated, “Nishant has just assumed office, and before he even starts his work, Tejashwi Yadav is making baseless comments. When Lalu Yadav became Chief Minister, he was involved in the animal husbandry scam, which led to his imprisonment. Did everyone know on the day he took the oath that he would end up in jail for a scam? Nishant is capable and will demonstrate how effectively the health department can be managed.”

He added, “The Bharatiya Janata Party prepares for elections every five years. The moment we come to power, preparations begin. Even in states where we are not in power, we start preparing. Elections in Uttar Pradesh are next year, and the public has decided that Akhilesh Yadav will be defeated. Today, there is a cabinet expansion in UP, and I wish the new ministers the best.”

Meanwhile, BJP Minister Dilip Jaiswal remarked that opposition leader Tejashwi does not understand the definition of nepotism. He stated, “A king’s son becomes a king, but that is not happening in the NDA, unlike what Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav are doing. With Nishant Kumar’s entry, no one can claim that nepotism is prevalent here.”

On the other hand, Bihar Government Minister Ashok Chaudhary emphasized that nepotism is not occurring, asserting that Nishant is the people’s choice. He noted, “If nepotism were the goal, he could have entered politics in the previous assembly elections. However, he joined Bihar politics only after Nitish Kumar moved from the state to the center.”
