Nashik Agriculture Kumbh 2026: A Vital Event for Farmers to Boost Productivity with Modern Techniques

Nashik, March 13: The ‘Agriculture Kumbh 2026’ held in Nashik, Maharashtra, is proving to be a significant and beneficial event for farmers. This program provides farmers with insights into modern agricultural techniques, advanced seeds, new irrigation methods, and contemporary farming equipment.

The primary goal of the ‘Agriculture Kumbh’ is to enhance farming productivity, increase farmers’ income, and connect them with scientific and modern farming practices. The event features various stalls, exhibitions, and guidance sessions related to the agricultural sector, allowing farmers to engage directly with experts to resolve their issues. The state government and the agriculture department are actively promoting such events to encourage more farmers to participate in the ‘Agriculture Kumbh.’

Additionally, the Maharashtra government’s agriculture department has launched the ‘Mahavistar AI’ mobile app, which provides farmers with essential information related to farming on a single platform.

Circle Agriculture Officer Manohar Dilip Runthé shared that the app helps farmers access real-time market prices for crops, suitable crops based on district conditions, crop status, and quality information. He also mentioned that the app includes a ‘Fertilizer Quantity Calculator’ feature, enabling farmers to estimate the correct amount of fertilizer needed for their land. Furthermore, the app provides insights into soil nutrients, pre-planting preparations, crop management, and crucial information related to changing weather conditions.

Manohar Dilip Runthé urged farmers to download the ‘Mahavistar AI’ app on their mobile phones and register to benefit from modern farming techniques and accurate guidance to enhance their production and income.

Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Batu Patil reported that around 20,000 farmers attended the event on its second day. He noted that this year’s ‘Agriculture Kumbh’ is being organized on a larger and more extensive scale compared to previous years.

He added that the event showcased 14 varieties of export-quality grapes, along with various vegetable stalls. Additionally, all schemes from the agriculture department are being explained in detail through exhibitions and displays, ensuring that farmers can maximize the benefits of these initiatives.
