Bareilly, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : The president of the All India Muslim Jamaat, Shihabuddin Razvi, has expressed support for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statements regarding the role of religion in society and its impact on the nation. Razvi emphasized that an individual’s daily life and habits are significantly influenced by their faith, and when people in society face distress, it inevitably affects the country’s overall condition.
Razvi agreed with Bhagwat’s assertion that a decline in religious values leads to national weakness. He stated that the way individuals live their lives is closely tied to their religious beliefs, which impart essential values and lessons. A nation is formed by its people; thus, if the community is not at peace and their lives are disrupted, the consequences will be felt at the national level. He urged individuals of all faiths to adhere to their religious teachings and strive for a better life.
Highlighting the teachings of Islam, Razvi noted that it promotes patience, gratitude to Allah, and the importance of worship. Living by these principles, he argued, leads to a more fulfilling life.
In addition, Razvi praised Captain Smita for her actions during a recent incident on a flight to Dubai, commending her bravery in ensuring the safety of passengers. He called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event, noting that the backgrounds of individuals in responsible positions, such as pilots, should be scrutinized to clarify the situation.
Responding to remarks by RSS leader Indresh Kumar about political parties exploiting Muslims, Razvi expressed his agreement, particularly criticizing the Samajwadi Party for treating Muslims as a mere vote bank in Uttar Pradesh. He cited the Rajya Sabha elections as an example, where Muslim legislators’ votes helped several candidates win, yet no Muslim candidates were given tickets. This issue, he noted, extends beyond the Samajwadi Party to other political entities as well.
Razvi asserted that political awareness is rising within the Muslim community, with individuals becoming more discerning about who truly advocates for their interests and who seeks to leverage their support for political gain.
