New Delhi, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : The hearing for the IRCTC scam case involving Lalu Prasad Yadav has been rescheduled to October 30. On Saturday, Yadav, along with his family members Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav, appeared in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, but the session was postponed.
In response to the ongoing legal issues, BJP leader Mitunjay Tiwari sharply criticized Yadav and his family. He stated, “Those who commit wrong will face the consequences.” Tiwari emphasized that the public is well aware of the character and actions of Yadav and his family, noting that they have faced multiple charges and have served time in prison.
Tiwari clarified that the allegations of scams are not politically motivated by the BJP, asserting that justice is served in court. He remarked, “If someone has been cheated, they must answer for everything.”
Targeting the INDIA alliance, Tiwari referred to it as a “thugbandhan,” claiming they mislead the public. He pointed out that trust in Prime Minister Modi continues to grow among the populace, while the opposition blames electoral losses on EVMs and election commissioners. “The public knows that Congress went to West Bengal to defeat TMC,” he added.
Regarding the CJP protest in Mumbai, Tiwari noted that while the group had previously claimed to advocate for students’ futures, their recent political inclinations suggest otherwise. He believes the public will not place their trust in them, recognizing Modi’s commitment to national development.
BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok described the IRCTC case as an “open and shut” situation, asserting that it represents the pinnacle of corruption. He commended Captain Smita Machhar for her courageous actions that have brought pride to 140 crore citizens, emphasizing her contribution to humanity.
Alok also criticized the INDIA bloc for their silence on the case, questioning the efficacy of the CJP protests. He dismissed them as chaotic and noted their shift from advocating for students to demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.
Tiwari and Alok’s comments underscore the BJP’s strategy of holding Yadav accountable while positioning themselves as defenders of public trust and integrity in governance.
