Chandigarh, March 7: Notorious gangster Amritpal Singh, also known as Amrit Daalam, has been apprehended at the border of Moldova. He is considered one of the most wanted criminals linked to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang. This information was confirmed by the Punjab police.
The arrest was made based on an Interpol Red Notice, which was issued with the assistance of central agencies.
Amritpal Singh was wanted in several serious criminal cases in Punjab and had been hiding abroad for an extended period. They further added, “Amritpal Singh was wanted in several serious criminal cases in Punjab and had been on the run abroad for a long time. His detention came after persistent international coordination and follow-up by Punjab police agencies. Legal and diplomatic processes are now underway to secure his extradition/deportation to India so that he can face the law.”
