New Delhi, June 23: BJP’s national spokesperson Ajay Alok expressed deep sorrow over the devastating fire incident in the Aliganj area of Lucknow. He also responded to various issues, including the Samajwadi Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), Aam Aadmi Party, political developments in West Bengal, and alleged war threats from Pakistan.
Commenting on the tragic fire incident, Ajay Alok stated that it is profoundly heartbreaking. The lives of children cannot be valued, and the BJP and the government extend their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath canceled his scheduled visit and returned immediately, recognizing the seriousness of the situation. He has directed the state’s Director General of Police (DGP) and Chief Secretary to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Ajay Alok assured that the causes of the fire would be identified and accountability established. The government is fully focused on the treatment of the injured, ensuring that no victim faces difficulties in receiving care.
Regarding Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi’s demand for a Muslim face for Chief Minister from Akhilesh Yadav, Ajay Alok remarked that if the Samajwadi Party hopes to come to power relying on Muslim votes, it should also announce a Muslim Chief Ministerial candidate. If the party secures 17-18 percent of the Muslim vote and Akhilesh Yadav becomes Chief Minister, it would be unjust to the Muslim community.
On developments related to Maharashtra’s politics and Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs, Ajay Alok stated that no leader has left the party; rather, everyone has joined Shiv Sena. He claimed that Shiv Sena is now unified under the leadership of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Most Shiv Sena members stand with Shinde and do not wish to remain with Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray.
In response to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement to visit Ayodhya, the BJP spokesperson raised questions about his intentions. He noted that Kejriwal’s grandmother had previously stated she would not visit a temple built by demolishing a mosque. He criticized the party for politicizing every issue and urged them to reflect on their past statements.
Regarding discussions on Pakistan’s threats of war against India, Ajay Alok dismissed such claims as completely baseless and absurd. He asserted that Pakistan cannot withstand India’s military strength and strategic capabilities. The Indian Army has previously demonstrated its capabilities and is fully capable of ensuring national security.
On the declaration of a government holiday in West Bengal to mark the death anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Ajay Alok emphasized that he was our founder and hailed from Bengal. Winning Bengal has always been crucial for the BJP. Now that the BJP has formed a government in Bengal, they are committed to realizing Mukherjee’s dreams and restoring the cultural pride of Bengal.
