Modi Government Celebrates 12 Years of Trust, Development, and Welfare: B.L. Verma

Ambala, June 9: The central government marked its 12 years in office with a special cleanliness program under the Swachh Bharat Mission in Ambala on Tuesday. B.L. Verma, the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, participated in the cleanliness drive, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean environment.

The event was attended by former minister Aseem Goyal, Mayor Akshita Saini, BJP district president Mandeep Rana, and several party leaders and workers. Verma urged the public to keep their surroundings clean, stating that the Swachh Bharat Mission is not just a government initiative but a national movement that encourages public participation to create a cleaner and healthier nation.

He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Mission in 2014, which has significantly raised awareness about cleanliness across the country and led to the construction of millions of toilets in homes. Verma mentioned that the BJP regularly conducts cleanliness campaigns on occasions such as the Prime Minister’s birthday, the party’s foundation day, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary to promote awareness about hygiene.

Verma stressed that cleanliness should extend beyond homes to the surrounding areas. He also highlighted the Prime Minister’s environmental initiative, “One Tree for Mother,” which has seen widespread participation.

Discussing the government’s achievements, Verma stated that nearly 250 million people have risen above the poverty line in recent years. He mentioned that millions of women have been provided with gas connections under the Ujjwala scheme, benefiting from subsidies. He reaffirmed the Prime Minister’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of the poor and women.

According to Verma, the last 12 years under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership have been dedicated to trust, development, and public welfare. He claimed that unprecedented development has occurred in the country, balancing progress with heritage preservation.

Verma also stated that Modi aims to make India the world’s third-largest economy in his third term. He assured that despite global challenges and conflicts, the central government has managed to prevent additional burdens on the common people.

On inflation and fuel prices, he noted that the government continuously monitors essential sectors, asserting that efforts have been made to keep prices stable compared to other countries. Under Modi’s leadership, he promised that inflation would be kept in check.
