Minister O.P. Rajbhar Critiques Akhilesh Yadavs Political Stance at Democracy Warriors Ceremony

Lucknow, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : During a recent ceremony honoring democracy warriors at the Samajwadi Party‘s state office in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Minister O.P. Rajbhar launched a scathing attack on party president Akhilesh Yadav. Rajbhar criticized Yadav’s political actions, his absence from the India Bloc meeting, and the ongoing tensions between the Samajwadi Party and Congress.

Rajbhar questioned the authenticity of the democracy warriors event, suggesting that the Samajwadi Party was merely staging such programs for show. He pointed out that the public expects their representatives to address pressing issues in the legislature, yet many Samajwadi MPs seem preoccupied with protests and other events outside the assembly. “The public is watching, and these events will not have any real impact on the ground,” he stated.

Referencing the Emergency period, Rajbhar also took aim at Congress, reminding attendees that it was during Congress’s rule that the Emergency was imposed, leading to the imprisonment of dissenters. “Today, those very individuals are being honored as democracy warriors,” he remarked, adding a jab at Yadav by stating, “Power can be inherited, but intelligence cannot.”

In response to Yadav’s claim that the country and Uttar Pradesh are currently experiencing a “BJP-imposed Emergency,” Rajbhar countered by highlighting the lack of representation for marginalized communities during the Samajwadi Party’s tenure. He attributed the party’s prolonged absence from power to this oversight.

Rajbhar addressed Yadav’s insinuation that he should wait for a political return, stating that Yadav had already politically divorced him, a sentiment he has accepted. He affirmed that his party remains aligned with the NDA and will contest the upcoming elections in partnership with them.

On Yadav’s absence from the India Bloc meeting, Rajbhar pointed out that both Yadav and Rahul Gandhi have been making contradictory statements. He interpreted Yadav’s absence as a message to Congress regarding seat-sharing disputes, which are causing friction within the opposition alliance.

Finally, Rajbhar responded to Yadav’s slogan about not trusting the BJP, poking fun at both Yadav and Gandhi. He remarked that those whom the public has ousted from power are now collaborating in politics. “Our party stands with the NDA, and we will enter the upcoming elections as part of this alliance,” he concluded.
