Mumbai, May 19: Actress Manvi Gagroo is currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film ‘Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry.’ In this film, she portrays a fearless and determined girl named Heer, who views life through her unique lens. In a recent interview, Manvi opened up about the film and her character.
Directed by Kartik Chaudhary, the story revolves around two women embarking on a journey to Pondicherry on a motorcycle. This adventure helps them understand themselves better, confront their fears, and see life from a fresh perspective. The film presents themes of friendship, freedom, and emotional connections in a distinctive manner.
Discussing the film’s narrative, Manvi Gagroo shared, “When I first read the script, it felt like I was reading a book. The dialogues are not only humorous but also deeply emotional. There are many moments in the story that touch the heart directly. This is what drew me to the film the most.”
Manvi explained, “Heer is a girl who lives life to the fullest. She follows her heart without overthinking. There is a unique freedom within her. She knows what she wants and is unafraid to pursue it. Often, she makes decisions without considering the consequences, yet she has a clear understanding of what is right and wrong for her.”
She added, “Heer is a very stubborn and cheerful girl. She always tries to see the good in every situation. She is completely self-confident and comfortable with herself. This is what I liked most about this character. Nowadays, such characters are rare; those who know how to love themselves despite their flaws and mistakes.”
The film also addresses the pressures and expectations society places on women. Manvi expressed, “I hope this film inspires women and girls to travel alone and view the world from their perspective. Traveling can transform a person from within and broaden their thinking.”
The actress noted, “Many women never get the chance to experience traveling alone in their lives. Solo travel brings a sense of freedom. It provides an opportunity to make mistakes, learn from them, and understand oneself better. I want the audience to leave this film with the feeling that it is essential to live life openly.”
