Mumbai, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : Gajala Salmeen, who played Pinky Chopra in the 1994 film ‘Anjaam,’ recently reminisced about her experiences with Shah Rukh Khan on the film set. In a video shared on Instagram, she fondly recalled how the superstar made her feel at ease during their time together.
Salmeen described a scene they filmed in Mauritius, where she was just a child. “Shah Rukh would come over and hug me,” she said. “He was such a nice person off-camera. While he appeared scary in the film, he always made me feel comfortable.”
The actress also shared that Khan performed all his stunt scenes without a harness. She recalled her first stunt scene, where Khan’s character crashes into her while she falls from a car. “We shot from 9 PM to 6 AM. I was scared because there was no harness, but I felt safe. I didn’t realize how high I was jumping,” she explained.
In ‘Anjaam,’ Salmeen’s character plays a pivotal role in the emotional storyline, where the villain, portrayed by Khan, causes the tragic fate of an innocent child. Although the film had moderate box office success, its song “Chane Ke Khet Mein” remains a beloved classic.
