
Mumbai, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : Mohanlal’s upcoming film has officially been titled “Operation Ganga.” The announcement was made by the filmmakers and director Vishnu Mohan, who revealed the first look on Saturday. The title reflects a significant rescue mission undertaken by India during the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which aimed to bring thousands of stranded Indians, including many students, back home.
Directed by the National Award-winning Vishnu Mohan, known for the hit film “Meppadian,” “Operation Ganga” promises to be a high-octane survival thriller. The film features a star-studded cast, including Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal, actress Bhagyashree Borse, and actors Parthiban and Adil Hussain.
Currently, filming is taking place in Georgia, marking one of the most ambitious projects in Mohanlal’s career. Produced under the banner of “Shri Gokulam Movies,” the film’s action sequences will be choreographed by renowned action director C. Young Oh, who has previously worked on “Dhurandhar” and “Kill.” Music for the film is composed by Shashwat Sachdev, who gained recognition after the success of the pan-India film “Dhurandhar.”
The technical team behind “Operation Ganga” boasts impressive talent, including cinematographer Miroslav Kuba Brozek, known for his work on blockbuster films like “Pushpa 1” and “Pushpa 2.” The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan, with Baiju Gopalan and V.C. Praveen serving as co-producers, and Krishnamurthy as the executive producer.
