
Mumbai, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : Naila Grewal, known for her roles in films like “Bareilly Ki Barfi” and “Thappad,” is set to appear in the highly anticipated science fiction and action drama film “Raka.” In a recent interview, she emphasized how deeply connected the South Indian film industry is to its cultural roots, showcasing this connection through its storytelling.
Grewal remarked, “The beauty of the South Indian industry lies in its strong ties to cultural heritage. They beautifully depict their cultural fabric through films and scripts, attracting audiences from all walks of life. Their authenticity is what makes them special, along with their excellent writing and scripting.”
As she teased details about “Raka,” Grewal expressed her excitement, stating, “What you have seen so far is just a glimpse. The film promises to be even more thrilling. This journey is very special for me.”
Reflecting on her cinematic journey, Grewal feels fortunate to have worked with talented actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Kishan early in her career, from whom she learned a great deal. She added, “’Raka’ is an incredible film, and I have collaborated with inspiring actors. Working alongside interesting actors presents a unique challenge that enhances your character and overall experience. I feel the same excitement about working with such a fantastic star cast.”
Directed by Atlee Kumar, “Raka” features South superstar Allu Arjun in a lead role, reportedly portraying three different characters. Alongside him, the film includes prominent actors like Deepika Padukone, Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Aishwarya Lakshmi in significant roles.
The film is said to explore unique concepts such as time travel, the multiverse, and reincarnation. Allu Arjun’s first look poster reveals a striking and menacing appearance, reminiscent of a wild or werewolf-like character, further heightening anticipation for the film’s release.
