New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : RJD MP Manoj Jha has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing lavish celebrations over pressing student concerns. Speaking on September 9, Jha raised issues such as the lack of hostel facilities and student safety, emphasizing that these matters deserve immediate attention.
On the occasion of PM Modi’s birthday, Jha expressed disappointment over the planned celebrations, calling them ironic. He referenced the recent Saty Niketan incident, highlighting the need for a transparent examination system and job opportunities for youth. Jha likened the situation to “Rome and Nero,” suggesting that such grand events would not bring any real achievements but rather lead to national embarrassment.
Regarding the controversy surrounding the Eiffel Tower, Jha stated it reflects poorly on the country. He criticized the Ministry of External Affairs for its statement, labeling it an embarrassment on the international stage. Jha pointed out that this incident has garnered attention from global media, questioning the ministry’s caution in handling such sensitive issues. He reiterated that the public will not easily forget incidents like Saty Niketan.
In response to PM Modi’s comments about a “displeased uncle,” Jha remarked that the remark has lost its significance. He urged the Prime Minister to focus on Bihar’s development, stressing that while he harbors no grievances against Gujarat, Bihar deserves equal attention and investment. He questioned whether PM Modi would only address Bihar’s issues during the 2029 elections.
On the upcoming BRICS summit, Jha emphasized the need for a serious and long-term approach. He noted that BRICS faces numerous challenges, including internal disagreements among member nations. Citing the Russia-Ukraine war and the U.S.-Israel conflict concerning Iran, he stated that BRICS could play a crucial role in addressing these global issues.
Jha also touched upon discussions about a common currency among BRICS nations and mentioned former U.S. President Donald Trump’s reactions. He concluded that while BRICS holds significant potential, it should not be viewed merely as an event management exercise but must take a concrete stance on global economic and strategic challenges.
