Major Reshuffle of 21 IPS Officers in Rajasthan

Jaipur, February 24: The Rajasthan government has announced the transfer and promotion of 21 IPS officers, leading to significant changes in key positions across the state. Most of these adjustments follow the recent promotions of IPS officers.

In an order released late Monday night, the police commissioners of Jodhpur and the special police commissioner of Jaipur have been reassigned. Sharat Kaviraj, the Inspector General (IG) of SOG, has been appointed as the new police commissioner of Jodhpur.

Om Prakash, the former police commissioner of Jodhpur, has been transferred to the position of special commissioner in Jaipur. Rahul Prakash, the special police commissioner of Jaipur, has been appointed as the IG of the Jaipur range.

Transfers have also been made for the IGs of the Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Kota ranges. Satyendra Singh has been moved from IG (CID-CB) to become the IG of the Jodhpur range. Om Prakash has been reassigned from the police armed battalion to the IG position for the Bikaner range.

Hemant Kumar Sharma, the IG of the Bikaner range, will now serve as the IG of SCRB in Jaipur. Ajay Pal Lamba has been transferred from IG, SCRB Jaipur to IG, SOG Jaipur.

Additionally, several senior IPS officers have been promoted and assigned new responsibilities. Hawa Singh Ghumaria, the ADG of the Crime Branch, has been promoted to ADG Headquarters. Vipin Kumar Pandey has been elevated from ADG of the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (Headquarters) to ADG of the Rajasthan Crime Branch.

Prabhull Kumar has been promoted from IG Intelligence to ADG Intelligence. Raghavendra Suwasa, the IG of the Jaipur range, has been promoted to ADG Training. Rajesh Meena, the IG of the Jodhpur range, has been transferred to IG Home Guard in Jaipur. S. Parimal has been moved from IG Personal at Police Headquarters to IG, ACB.

Vikas Kumar, who was leading both the ATS and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, will now serve solely as the IG of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, having relinquished his responsibilities for the ATS.

Rajesh Singh has been appointed as IG ATS, Jaipur, from IG ACB. Satyendra Kumar has transitioned from IG SCRB in Jaipur to CEO of the Rajasthan Institute of Transport and Innovation (RITI), a position equivalent to an IAS-level administrative role.

Preeti Chandra has been appointed as IG, Law and Order Administration, Jaipur, from DIG of the First Armed Battalion in Jaipur. Harendra Kumar Mahawar has been assigned as IG, CID-CB, Jaipur from DIG, SSB, Jodhpur. Rahul Kotki has been transferred from DIG, JDA to IG, Personnel at Police Headquarters, Jaipur.
