Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 Sees Major Business Deals and International Participation

Greater Noida, September 29 (Daily Kiran) : The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 wrapped up on September 29 at the India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida. Spanning five days from September 25 to 29, the event showcased new opportunities in investment, business, and international collaboration.

During the trade show, approximately 4,400 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed, amounting to around $680 million, or roughly ₹6,500 crores. Based on business inquiries received during the event, the potential business turnover is estimated at ₹15,500 crores.

According to the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), the trade show facilitated a total of 41,500 B2B meetings. Of these, 13,500 took place in the Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet (RBSM) sector, while around 28,000 business interactions occurred in the main exhibition area. Buyers from both domestic and international markets engaged with Uttar Pradesh’s entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and exporters to explore business opportunities. Over the five days, the event attracted 598,693 attendees, including 174,990 domestic business buyers and 423,703 general visitors.

The significant turnout of buyers and visitors played a crucial role in expanding the market for the state’s products. Compared to last year, UPITS 2026 recorded growth in key business metrics. In 2025, there were 31,650 B2B meetings, which increased by 31.12% to 41,500 this year. The RBSM sector saw the most substantial growth in meetings with foreign buyers, with numbers rising from 6,050 to 13,500, marking an increase of about 123.1%. Business meetings in the main exhibition area also grew by 9.38%.

The number of MOUs signed rose from 3,900 last year to 4,400 this year, reflecting a 12.82% increase. The estimated value of these MOUs also saw a significant rise, from ₹2,680 crores in 2025 to approximately ₹6,500 crores this year. Additionally, the potential business turnover linked to inquiries jumped from ₹12,500 crores to ₹15,500 crores.

This year’s UPITS featured broader international participation compared to previous editions. While Russia was the sole partner country last year, this time, six countries, including Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus, and Vietnam, joined Russia as partner nations.

Foreign delegations and buyers expressed interest in various sectors, including manufacturing, IT, electronics, textiles, and agri-food processing. This provided local entrepreneurs with the chance to engage directly with international markets and potential partners. The trade show also highlighted the “One District, One Product” (ODOP) initiative, showcasing traditional products, crafts, handlooms, brassware, carpets, leather goods, and unique agricultural products from all 75 districts of the state. Both foreign and domestic buyers showed keen interest in these offerings.

The event provided MSMEs, local artisans, and exporters with opportunities to connect directly with international buyers and secure potential orders. Thus, the trade show evolved beyond mere exhibition, becoming a platform for business dialogue and market expansion.

The statistics from UPITS 2026 indicate a significant expansion in business, B2B interactions, MOUs, and international participation. According to government officials, such events play a vital role in linking local products and entrepreneurs from Uttar Pradesh with domestic and international markets, propelling the state’s economy toward a target of a trillion dollars.
