
Noida, June 15: The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has intensified its campaign to ensure the availability of pure and quality food products for residents. The department is conducting continuous inspections and sampling at various food manufacturing units in the district. As part of this initiative, raids were conducted at several facilities producing processed fruit and vegetable products, resulting in the collection of eight food samples for testing.
This action was taken under the directives of the Commissioner of Food Safety and Drug Administration, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, and the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar. The campaign aims to assess the quality of food products available in the market and ensure safe food reaches the general public.
Assistant Food Commissioner Sarvesh Mishra stated that the department is consistently working to guarantee the availability of pure food items in the district. In this context, Food Safety Officer Amar Bahadur Saroj inspected STM Foods Private Limited located in Sector 63, collecting samples of tomato paste and momo sauce.
Additionally, a joint team led by Food Safety Officers Syed Ibadullah and Ritu Saxena raided Ariyana Foods Private Limited in Dadri, collecting samples of mixed pickle, green chili pickle, green chili sauce, and tamarind chutney.
Furthermore, Food Safety Officer Mukesh Kumar collected samples of tomato ketchup and tomato paste from Nutty Foods Private Limited in Site C, Surajpur Industrial Area. In total, eight samples have been properly collected and sent to the laboratory for testing.
If any product is found to violate the prescribed standards after the test results are received, appropriate action will be taken against the respective units. Assistant Commissioner Sarvesh Mishra emphasized that the department will continue its rigorous inspection campaigns. He stated that there will be no compromise on the quality of food products, and ensuring safe and standard-compliant food for the residents is the department’s top priority.
