Lucknow, June 17: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will distribute appointment letters to selected candidates for the Computer Operator Grade-A positions on Wednesday. A total of 930 candidates have been chosen through this recruitment process to join the Uttar Pradesh Police Department.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared this information on social media platform X, stating, “This transparent recruitment process, which gives wings to the dreams of youth, opportunities to their skills, and respect to hard work, is the hallmark of the double-engine government. Today, 930 Computer Operators (Grade-A), selected through a fair selection process by the UPPRPB, will receive their appointment letters in Lucknow. These tech-savvy and skilled youths will significantly contribute to modernizing and enhancing the effectiveness of the Uttar Pradesh Police.”
According to the final results released by the recruitment board, the selected candidates include 381 from the unreserved category, 91 from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 249 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 193 from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 16 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).
In terms of cutoff scores, the highest cutoff for the unreserved category was recorded at 139.62 points, followed by 132.07 points for the OBC category. The EWS category cutoff ranked third, while the ST category saw a higher cutoff for women compared to the general cutoff.
Notably, the advertisement for filling the 930 vacant Computer Operator Grade-A positions in the Uttar Pradesh Police was issued on December 29, 2023. The offline written examination took place on November 1, 2025, across ten districts in the state. Successful candidates were then called for a computer typing test, followed by the document verification process.
Candidates who successfully completed all stages have now been selected. The appointed youths will be tasked with strengthening the technical framework of the Uttar Pradesh Police.
