Lucknow, February 24: The Special Task Force (STF) has dismantled a significant cheating syndicate involved in the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board’s high school and intermediate examinations. A raid at Maharaj Singh Smarak Inter College in Mainpuri district led to the arrest of six individuals, including college management, teachers, and a solver.

Among those apprehended are Ashish from the college management, teachers Arun Kumar alias Tinku, Anup Kumar, and solvers Shiv Chauhan, Avneet, and Abhijit Singh. According to the STF, the entire network was operated with the collusion of the college principal, Amrish, and his brother Ashish.

Students were charged hefty sums to have their answer sheets written by solvers. In some instances, teachers and management members were also verbally providing answers to assist students.

The STF indicated that students were being charged approximately 5,000 rupees per paper for this illegal activity, and solvers were compensated with substantial amounts in return. During the raid, the STF seized crucial evidence, including two completed answer sheets, an intermediate mathematics textbook, an intermediate biology question paper, six mobile phones, and other incriminating materials.

The STF confirmed that further investigations are ongoing to uncover the roles of additional individuals connected to the syndicate.
