Major Arrest by Dwarka Special Staff: Habitual Criminal Captured with Illegal Firearm

New Delhi, April 4: The special police team in Dwarka has apprehended a habitual criminal. The arrested individual, identified as Vipin, also known as Rinku or Bona, is a declared offender from the Ranohla police station area and has been banned from the district. Authorities recovered a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from him.

According to police officials, a special operation was launched under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Dwarka to monitor criminals involved in illegal arms possession and supply. A team was formed under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations) and Inspector Kamlesh Kumar. The team was actively patrolling the area and keeping an eye on suspicious activities, while also engaging local informants.

On March 31, 2026, the police received a tip-off. Acting on this information, the team quickly set a trap and arrested Vipin. During the search, the country-made pistol and a live cartridge were found in his possession. Subsequently, a case was registered under the Arms Act at the Dwarka North police station, leading to his arrest.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that he was already listed as a criminal at the Ranohla police station and had been ordered to stay out of the area. Despite this, he continued to engage in illegal activities. He admitted that his desire for quick money drove him to crime, enabling him to fund his drug habits and maintain a comfortable lifestyle.

Police investigations have also uncovered that the accused has been involved in a total of 16 previous cases related to theft, robbery, and firearms. He comes from an ordinary family background, residing in a rented house in Mohan Garden. His father is a driver, and his mother is a homemaker. He has only completed up to the fifth grade and turned to crime due to his addiction.

Currently, police are conducting thorough interrogations to determine the source of the illegal weapon. The investigation is ongoing.
