Major Action by Budgam Police: Properties Linked to Terror Network Seized

Budgam, February 21: Budgam police have taken significant action against a network supporting terrorism by seizing a crucial property.

The police attached a real estate asset linked to the Jammu and Kashmir National Operative Party (JKNOP) in a case registered at the Khag police station. This operation was conducted under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), specifically sections 7/25, 18, 20, and 23.

The seized property belongs to Ghulam Nabi Nazar, son of the late Abdul Jabbar, a resident of Gamgulla Khansahib. It includes a plot of land measuring one kanal and 16 marlas, identified by Khasra number 796, Khata number 439, and Khwet number 144, located in the village of Gamgulla Khansahib. This action was executed after fulfilling all legal procedures under Section 85 of the Indian National Security Code (BNSC).

According to the police, this property was associated with a network involved in supporting terrorist activities. This operation sends a clear message that not only will criminal cases be pursued against anti-national elements, but the financial foundations of their networks will also be dismantled. Budgam police are consistently targeting terrorist organizations and their funding and logistical support from across the border.

The police stated that this action against active terror-linked elements in the district is a strong step forward. Following a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, the police are enforcing strict measures at every level. Such operations will continue until all support networks for terrorism are eradicated and complete peace is established in the region.

Local residents have welcomed this action, stating it will enhance the security atmosphere in the area. The police emphasize that public cooperation is crucial in the fight against terrorism, and they are ready to assist in every possible way.
