Shimla, July 24: Rajeev Bindal, the President of the Himachal Pradesh BJP, accused the Congress party and its central leadership of undermining democratic traditions and constitutional norms. He stated that instead of participating in parliamentary discussions, Congress is resorting to street protests, chaos, and confrontational politics to push its agenda.
Bindal told the media that marching towards the Prime Minister‘s residence, attempting to besiege the BJP headquarters, and creating an atmosphere of violence are not part of democracy. Instead, he views these actions as a calculated challenge to constitutional institutions.
He emphasized that the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is fully committed to safeguarding the future of the country’s youth.
Bindal announced that the government has made a significant decision to ensure swift and severe punishment for those involved in exam paper leak cases.
He stated, “Fast-track courts will be established for all paper leak cases to expedite trials and ensure that offenders receive strict punishment without delay. Necessary instructions have already been issued to the relevant departments and officials to implement this decision.”
He added that this initiative is another important step in the series of reforms aimed at protecting the interests of students.
Reiterating the Prime Minister’s resolve, Bindal declared that anyone who jeopardizes the future of the youth will not be spared at any cost.
He affirmed that the BJP stands firmly with students and is fully committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in the examination system.
Bindal noted that as soon as the paper leak issue emerged, the central government handed over the investigation to the CBI, arrested the accused, conducted re-examinations, implemented extensive technical improvements in the examination system, and now decided to establish fast-track courts.
He stated that these measures send a clear message that the law will take strict action against those who compromise the future of students.
Targeting Congress, Bindal remarked that if the party genuinely cared about students, it would participate in constructive discussions in Parliament and offer meaningful suggestions. Instead, Congress has chosen to obstruct Parliament, create disorder on the streets, and engage in political theatrics.
Questioning Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership, Bindal asked, “Why did Congress feel the need to march to the Prime Minister’s residence? Why attempt to besiege the BJP headquarters? Is democratic protest now limited to breaching high-security areas and inciting political confrontations?”
