Madhya Pradesh Budget Aims to Propel States Development, Says Minister

Bhopal, February 18: The Finance Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Jagdish Devda, presented the budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 in the state assembly on Wednesday. This marks the third budget under the BJP government. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that this budget aims to fulfill the dream of a prosperous, culturally rich Madhya Pradesh.

Minister Vishwas Sarang emphasized that this well-structured budget will not only establish new dimensions of development in Madhya Pradesh but also align with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047, highlighting the significant role of states.

In response to opposition criticism, Minister Uday Pratap Singh remarked that it is typical for the opposition to complain. He pointed out that Madhya Pradesh has set an example in budget management, presenting the largest budget in its history, with organized allocations for every department.

Finance Minister Jagdish Devda noted that various figures indicate that sufficient budget provisions have been made across all departments, particularly focusing on education where needs were identified.

Minister Nirmala Bhuriya praised the budget, stating it considers all sections of society and continues to promote women’s empowerment through existing schemes like Ladli Behna and Ladli Laxmi.

Minister Chaitanya Kashyap expressed confidence that the budget presented under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s guidance is indeed a budget for development.

Minister Dharmendra Lodhi added that the budget reflects the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas.” It addresses the concerns of the poor, youth, farmers, and women, while also making special provisions for industry and infrastructure. He believes this budget will be a milestone for the comprehensive development of Madhya Pradesh.
