The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with the resolve of “Developed Madhya Pradesh – Developed India,” all aldermen will channel their energy, experience, and dedication to establish new dimensions of development in their respective areas and meet the expectations of citizens.
Earlier on Saturday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a significant two-hour meeting with BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal. The discussion included the list of the state working committee and appointments for the positions of chairpersons and vice-chairpersons in municipal corporations. Sources indicate that a list of potential names may soon be sent to the central leadership, paving the way for formal announcements regarding these appointments.
Aldermen are nominated councilors in urban bodies, municipal corporations, municipalities, and municipal councils. They are not directly elected by the public but are appointed by the government or relevant authorities. Their role involves participating in meetings of urban bodies, providing input on various developmental issues, suggesting plans, projects, and policies for the city, and raising local problems during meetings. Based on their experience and expertise, they assist the administration in making better decisions.
