New Delhi, April 2: Leander Paes, the legendary Indian tennis player, recently met with Philip Green, the Australian Ambassador to India. Green shared details of their meeting on social media.

The ambassador posted several photos with Paes on his official X account, reminiscing about their time spent in Australia.

Green wrote, “Had a great conversation with tennis legend Leander Paes about the years spent in Australia and where we take it from here. He is very ambitious about the mix of India-Australia sports. He also joined the High Commission’s tennis community for a hit.”

Paes visited the Australian High Commission for this meeting.

Leander Paes is one of India’s most successful and beloved tennis players. He is the only Indian tennis player to have won an Olympic medal, securing a bronze in men’s singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Paes joined the BJP on March 31 and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah shortly thereafter. Before joining the BJP, he was a member of the ruling Trinamool Congress party in West Bengal.
