
New Delhi, August 16: On the death anniversary of the revered saint, spiritual guru, and thinker Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, leaders across the country paid their respects on Sunday. Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Arjun Ram Meghwal, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, took to social media to commemorate the teachings of the revered saint.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed, “Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa ji, through his teachings and thoughts, guided the entire world towards the path of religion and spirituality. On his death anniversary, I bow in reverence. His thoughts will always serve as a guiding light.”
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal referred to Swami ji as “a devoted worshipper of Maa Kali, a great saint, and an immortal bearer of Indian spirituality.” He stated, “On the death anniversary of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa ji, I offer my heartfelt homage! He taught that truth, love, compassion, devotion to God, and service to humanity are the highest duties in life. His divine thoughts and spiritual messages will continue to inspire humanity towards self-realization, righteousness, and the path of religion.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute, writing, “On the death anniversary of the great seeker of Indian spiritual tradition, the devoted worshipper of Maa Kali, I humbly bow to Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. His divine life shows us the path of serving humanity through love, compassion, tolerance, and the eternal ideal that ‘service to man is service to God.’”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa as “a great bearer of India’s spiritual consciousness.” She wrote, “On the death anniversary of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa ji, who is a devoted seeker of Maa Bharati and an inspiration for Swami Vivekananda, I offer my deepest respects. His life is a shining symbol of devotion, practice, service, and the eternal Indian vision of universal welfare.”
Rekha Gupta added, “The sentiment of serving God through serving humanity that he awakened continues to inspire society towards compassion, duty, and public welfare.”
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also paid his respects to Swami ji, echoing Arjun Ram Meghwal’s sentiments, stating, “He taught that truth, love, compassion, devotion to God, and service to humanity are the highest duties in life. His divine thoughts and spiritual messages will continue to inspire humanity towards self-realization, righteousness, and the path of religion.”
