Keval Singh Dhillon Takes Charge as Punjab BJP President, Leaders Predict 2027 Will Be Game-Changer

Chandigarh, June 3: Keval Singh Dhillon has officially assumed the role of President of the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday. Appointed on May 28, Dhillon hails from the Sikh community.

Upon his taking charge, numerous Punjab BJP leaders extended their best wishes. Central Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu remarked, “Today is a moment of great joy for both the BJP and Punjab. The party has entrusted this responsibility to Dhillon, following the completion of the term of our previous state president, who served from the Malwa region.”

Bittu further stated, “With just a few months left until the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, Keval Singh Dhillon and all of us leaders have completed our preparations. We aim to bring a double-engine government to Punjab and ensure the prosperity of our state.”

Following Dhillon’s inauguration, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh emphasized the party’s rapid progress. He noted that the people of Punjab have shown their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, predicting that 2027 will be a game-changer.

Chugh also targeted Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, saying, “Voices are rising from every village in Punjab, saying, ‘Goodbye Bhagwant Mann.’ The people are ready for this farewell, with just six months remaining.”

Punjabi actor and BJP leader Hobby Dhaliwal expressed his happiness, stating, “This is a joyous occasion. The election of the Punjab BJP president followed a defined process. The senior leadership has announced his name, and we are all pleased and united.”

Party MPs Satnam Sandhu and Vikramjeet Sahni also showed their support for the new leadership during Dhillon’s inauguration. Sandhu mentioned, “Keval Singh Dhillon has taken charge today, bringing new energy to Punjab. Workers from across the state have gathered at the party office, filled with enthusiasm. Every youth, farmer, and community in Punjab views the BJP as a beacon of hope.”

Sahni added that Dhillon’s presidency marks a significant moment, stating, “Punjab was once known for its warriors, gurus, and saints, but today it has become a land of addiction. Punjab has fallen behind. To restore it to a ‘Rangla Punjab,’ a double-engine government is essential.”
