New Delhi, June 17: Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to firmly raise the issue of the deaths of three Indian citizens during his upcoming meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. He emphasized that India must express its strong opposition and convey a clear message that the safety of Indian citizens is a top priority.
In a video message shared on social media, Kejriwal appealed to the Prime Minister to communicate the nation’s anger and the outrage of its citizens to the U.S. during the one-on-one meeting with Trump in France. He stated that if Indian lives were lost due to military action, India should adopt a clear and firm stance on the matter.
Kejriwal criticized Prime Minister Modi for not issuing any public response following the deaths of the three Indians. He questioned the lack of a tweet or expression of condolences for the deceased. The country needs leadership that can robustly defend India’s interests on international platforms, he asserted.
The AAP leader declared that India is a powerful and respected nation, and incidents involving its citizens should not be taken lightly. He demanded that the U.S. provide clarification on the matter and, if necessary, issue an apology. Meanwhile, Kejriwal also targeted the central government over recent paper leak incidents in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
He stated that temporary measures like banning the Telegram app or sending question papers via military aircraft are not permanent solutions. Paper leaks have become part of an organized and extensive economic network, which requires the government to implement strict and transparent systems to eradicate.
Kejriwal alleged that if the government’s intentions were honest, effective measures could be taken to prevent such incidents. He emphasized that compromising the future of the youth is unacceptable, and the government must take concrete actions in this direction.
