Jaipur, July 28: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the Rajasthan government stands firmly with the youth in fulfilling their dreams, whether in education, sports, or employment and self-employment.
He stated that the state’s ‘double-engine’ government is creating a better future for the youth through decisive actions against paper leaks, record government recruitment, promoting startups, and enhancing skill development initiatives.
During the “Dreams Take Flight” program held at the Chief Minister’s residence, Sharma engaged with the youth and highlighted that thoughtful, disciplined, and value-driven young individuals lay the foundation for a developed India and a developed Rajasthan.
He noted that youth are filled with new ideas and energy, and the government connects with them by incorporating their valuable suggestions into the state budget.
Sharma stressed the importance of such dialogues to improve government schemes, programs, and policies, stating that the state government is planning its future based on the hopes and suggestions of the youth.
The Chief Minister urged young people to embrace values of dedication, hard work, discipline, and honesty from their parents and to pursue their dreams with confidence.
He highlighted that the potential of Rajasthan’s youth is immense, and ensuring that every young person has opportunities, recognition, and a platform to showcase their talent aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed nation.
In the past two and a half years, the state government has fulfilled the aspirations of youth by providing over 178,000 government jobs. Currently, recruitment is underway for approximately 51,000 posts, with over 80,000 vacancies included in the calendar. Preparations are also ongoing for recruitment for 70,000 posts. Additionally, around 450,000 job opportunities have been created in the private sector.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the government has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards paper leaks by strengthening laws and ensuring a transparent and secure recruitment process.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate paper leak cases, resulting in the arrest of 569 individuals involved in related irregularities.
He added that the government has successfully conducted 410 examinations without any paper leaks. Furthermore, the government is actively promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment, encouraging Rajasthan’s youth to become job creators rather than just job seekers.
Under the Rajasthan Startup Program, 4,623 startups have been registered, with 1,062 startups receiving financial assistance of 34 crore rupees from the iStart fund. Nine startup programs have been completed with participation from 988 startups.
The state government has also introduced the State Skill Policy-2025 and the Youth Policy.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s growing significance in sports, CM Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state government is strengthening sports infrastructure, establishing academies, promoting emerging talent, and providing better facilities for athletes.
He announced that the Rajasthan Target Olympic Podium Scheme is being implemented statewide, and the state is also hosting the Khelo India University Games. Additionally, 17 new Khelo India centers are being established, and residential sports academies are being set up in 41 district headquarters.
During this event, the Chief Minister interacted with youth involved in education, sports, startups, My India, and competitive exam preparation, inquiring about their achievements, hopes, and future plans.
He also launched a logo design competition for the “Dreams Take Flight” initiative. Participants enthusiastically engaged with the Chief Minister, taking group photos and selfies.
During the discussions, Upalaksh Goyal, who achieved an all-India third rank in NEET, shared that hard work, dedication, discipline, and guidance from parents and teachers lead to success.
Swaroopdan Charan, a volunteer from My India, mentioned that the My India portal plays a crucial role in enhancing the skills and capabilities of youth, encouraging all young people to be part of this initiative.
Postgraduate student Rashika Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for the government’s scholarship schemes, stating that these programs empower youth to research and explore new fields of knowledge.
B.Sc. student Rekha praised the government’s decisive action against paper leaks and commended the transparent and fair conduct of recruitment examinations in the state.
