Beijing, July 28: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is currently on an official visit to China. According to information shared by the Indian Embassy, he met with Li Wentang, Vice President of the Central Party School (National Academy of Governance) of the Communist Party of China on Tuesday.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs shared images from the meeting on the social media platform X, stating, “Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Li Wentang, Vice President of the Central Party School (National Academy of Governance), where he provided insights into the school’s historical significance, its intellectual contributions, and academic programs. They discussed future opportunities for cooperation and exchanges.”
Earlier, on Monday, Foreign Secretary Misri met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Hua Chunying. During this discussion, both sides acknowledged the importance of maintaining peace and stability in border areas between India and China.
The Indian Embassy in China reported on X, “Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Hua Chunying. Both parties reviewed all aspects of India-China relations and discussed ways to advance the vision of their leaders, emphasizing partnership and collaboration in development opportunities. This includes mutually beneficial steps to enhance trade, economic relations, culture, and people-to-people contacts. Both sides recognized the significance of maintaining peace and stability in border areas.”
On the same day, Foreign Secretary Misri began his official visit in Beijing by meeting with Sun Haiyan, Deputy Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
