JP Nadda Urges Bengal to Reject Corruption in Upcoming Elections

Bardhaman, April 26: Union Minister JP Nadda addressed a gathering in Bardhaman, West Bengal, emphasizing the need for the public to reject the corrupt Trinamool Congress (TMC) government. He stated that the ongoing harassment of women has prompted the people of Bengal to rally behind the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “The public has made up its mind,” he declared.

Nadda appealed to the community leaders present, urging them to spread his message throughout their neighborhoods. He reassured voters that the upcoming elections would be fair and encouraged them to vote fearlessly, as the Election Commission has ensured a transparent process.

He further criticized the long-standing negative portrayal of Bengal, calling for a change. Nadda reminded the audience of Bengal’s rich history, highlighting figures like Sri Aurobindo, Rabindranath Tagore, Subhas Chandra Bose, and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, who are synonymous with social, political, economic, and cultural revolutions.

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh expressed confidence that the lotus will bloom in Bengal, stating that half the work is already done. He claimed that the BJP has secured over 100 seats in the first phase and anticipates winning even more. Ghosh warned that the final phase could see unexpected events, urging vigilance among party members and the Election Commission.

Rudranil Ghosh, the BJP candidate from the Shibpur assembly constituency, commented on the TMC’s current state, suggesting they might benefit from cooling down with coconut water due to the heat of the political climate.

BJP MP Vivek Thakur noted an increase in voter turnout during the first phase, indicating a desire for change among the electorate. He acknowledged that such shifts can lead to nervousness, which often results in irrational statements, a phenomenon seen in every election cycle.
