Ranchi, August 6: In response to ongoing protests against alleged irregularities in various recruitment exams, including JPSC and JSSC, students have announced an 11-member delegation for proposed talks with the state government. The protests are taking place at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi.
The delegation consists of eight student representatives, along with two journalists and one lawyer. However, the protesters have made it clear that only student representatives will present their demands and viewpoints during the discussions. The student representatives include Ravindra Paswan, Piyush Kumar Singh, Ravindra Kumar Ravi, Rajesh Prasad, Neetu Kujur, Kartik Soren, Sandeep Kumar, and Shalu Singh.
Journalists Shambhunath Chaudhary and Vikas Verma, along with lawyer Ajit Kumar, will also be part of the delegation. According to the protesters, the journalists and lawyer will only serve in a supportive and guiding role during the talks. They will not present any statements or arguments themselves.
The students have also clarified that the journalists included in the delegation will not bring microphones, cameras, recording devices, or any other broadcasting equipment into the meeting. This decision aims to ensure that the discussions proceed in a peaceful, organized, and transparent manner.
It is noteworthy that students have been protesting for the past 13 days at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in JPSC, JSSC, and other recruitment exams, as well as action against those responsible and transparency in the recruitment process. This marks the first time the protesters have officially announced a delegation following the government’s proposal for talks. All eyes are now on the outcome of the upcoming discussions between the government and the students.
