Jharkhand Police Strengthens Fleet with New Vehicles

Ranchi, March 14: The Jharkhand Police has received a significant boost with the addition of 19 Bolero vehicles and 22 new motorcycles. Police officials believe that these new vehicles will greatly enhance the policing capabilities in the region. Superintendent of Police Sumit Kumar Agrawal announced on Saturday that the vehicles have been dispatched to various police stations across the district to improve patrolling and rapid response efforts.

Agrawal informed reporters that the arrival of these new vehicles will substantially improve the police’s response time. With the ability to reach crime scenes swiftly, police teams can now ensure better control over criminal activities and enhance public safety.

He emphasized that all station heads have been instructed to maintain the vehicles properly and ensure regular patrolling. This initiative aims not only to control crime but also to provide a safer environment for the general public.

The Superintendent noted that the core principle of Jharkhand Police is “Service is the Goal.” With these new resources, the police aim to fulfill this mission more effectively. The introduction of these vehicles is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of the police and assist in maintaining law and order in the district.

Agrawal pointed out that the previous fleet of aging vehicles posed significant challenges, particularly in rural areas. The new additions will enable police to reach incident sites more quickly. Moreover, the new Boleros and motorcycles will facilitate improved patrolling in both rural and urban settings.

It is worth mentioning that the Jharkhand Police Department has long struggled with outdated and dilapidated vehicles, which hindered effective patrolling and rapid response. In response to this issue, the state government allocated new vehicles for the police department. Chief Minister Hemant Soren flagged off these vehicles from the assembly premises on Friday, and they are now being sent to the respective police stations in each district.
