
Jammu, May 26: The district administration in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, has completed all preparations for Eid-ul-Azha. Special arrangements have been made to ensure the festival is celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
In an exclusive interview, Block Development Officer Ishtiyaq Ahmad Molvi stated that the administration is actively inspecting markets to ensure the availability of essential goods during the festival. A meeting was held in the presence of the District Development Commissioner (DC) and the Superintendent of Police (SP), where traders and community representatives were invited. It was decided that all necessary items would be sufficiently stocked in the markets for Eid.
Molvi expressed his best wishes to the people of India on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. He emphasized that this Bakrid should bring brotherhood, joy, and love to everyone. Following the administration’s directives, inspections of the markets in Block Thakrai revealed that essential items, including chicken, meat, and other food products, are available in ample quantities.
He further noted that people of all religions have traditionally celebrated festivals together in the country, and it is crucial to maintain this tradition. He appealed to the Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian communities to celebrate Eid with mutual brotherhood and harmony.
Preparations for Bakrid are in full swing across the country. Eid-ul-Azha is set to be celebrated on May 27-28. While markets are bustling with activity, the administration is ensuring robust peace and security arrangements. In Kishtwar, the administration has also made extensive preparations to maintain security during the festivities.
