Greater Noida, June 4: A major incident was narrowly avoided on the Yamuna Expressway Thursday afternoon when a luxury Jaguar car caught fire while speeding. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the entire vehicle within minutes, creating chaos on the expressway.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident. According to reports, the fire broke out around 3:30 PM, approximately 5 to 6 kilometers past Zero Point on the expressway. The Jaguar was moving normally when smoke suddenly began to rise from the vehicle. The driver quickly pulled over and exited the car, shortly before the fire erupted.
Witnesses noted that the fire intensified within minutes, completely consuming the car. Tall flames and thick black smoke were visible from a distance. Local police and fire department were alerted immediately after the incident.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and attempted to extinguish the blaze, but by then, the vehicle was nearly completely destroyed. The cause of the fire remains unknown, though initial speculation points to a technical malfunction or short circuit. A definitive cause will be determined after a thorough investigation.
