Amaravati, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has intensified his criticism of former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu regarding alleged irregularities in teacher appointments through the District Selection Committee (DSC). In a recent statement, Reddy highlighted the devastating impact of compromised examination credibility on aspiring teachers.
He emphasized that countless candidates sacrifice valuable years of their lives and hard-earned money for a fair chance at employment. When the system fails to deliver, it not only affects the results but also erodes trust in the entire recruitment process, leading to widespread disillusionment.
Reddy posed pointed questions to Naidu, stating that fairness should not be seen as an option but as a duty. He challenged Naidu to consider whether candidates deserve acknowledgment for their efforts, fairness, and future accountability. Reddy also demanded that Naidu take responsibility for the ongoing scandal surrounding the DSC.
This latest post is part of a series of social media statements from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader, who has been vocal about the alleged irregularities. Reddy has reiterated calls for a thorough investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and has urged for the resignation of Naidu’s son, Education Minister Nara Lokesh.
In a previous post, Reddy pointed out the ongoing turmoil surrounding teacher appointments linked to the DSC scandal. He criticized the inconsistent explanations provided by the Chief Minister, which only serve to raise more questions for candidates vying for teaching positions.
He elaborated on the various complications that arose during the appointment process, which was supposed to be based on a seven-step verification and 65 TET scores. However, discrepancies led to candidates being deemed ineligible, prompting Reddy to question what was genuinely verified during those steps.
Reddy noted another alarming twist, where a candidate reportedly received a job offer without any knowledge of how it happened. He concluded by stating that the aspirations of future teachers have been turned into a mockery due to the ongoing situation.
