Spain Dominates Saudi Arabia 4-0 in FIFA World Cup Match

Atlanta, June 22: In a stunning display at the FIFA World Cup 2026, Spain triumphed over Saudi Arabia with a commanding 4-0 victory in their Group H match. Young talent Lamine Yamal and striker Mikel Oyarzabal played pivotal roles in this impressive win, with Yamal scoring one goal and creating several opportunities, while Oyarzabal netted two.

After a goalless draw against Cape Verde in their opening match, Spain showcased their attacking prowess against Saudi Arabia. The team maintained aggressive gameplay throughout, leaving no chance for Saudi Arabia to mount a comeback with their solid defense. All eyes were on the tournament’s youngest player, Lamine Yamal, who made an impact from the start. His speed and dribbling consistently troubled the Saudi defenders.

Spain opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Dani Olmo delivered a brilliant cross from the left, which Yamal expertly slid into the net, marking his first goal of the tournament. This early goal boosted Spain’s confidence, leading to a series of relentless attacks. In the 30th minute, Spain doubled their lead through Aymeric Laporte, who headed in a corner from Dani Olmo. The ball found Oyarzabal inside the box, and he converted it effortlessly into a goal.

Just three minutes later, Spain executed another remarkable team goal. A long pass over the Saudi defense was skillfully controlled by Marc Cucurella, who set up Olmo. He created a chance for Oyarzabal, who scored with a stunning volley, marking his second goal and Spain’s third.

With a 3-0 lead at halftime, Spain was firmly in control. At the start of the second half, coach Luis de la Fuente substituted Yamal and Oyarzabal to give them a breather. Nevertheless, Spain continued to dominate. They secured their fourth goal when Dani Olmo struck a brilliant volley from a corner. Although the Saudi goalkeeper saved the shot, the ball deflected off Saudi player Hassan Al-Tambakti and went into their own net.

Spain maintained relentless pressure on the Saudi defense, concluding the match with a 4-0 victory. With this win, Spain now has four points from two matches, placing them at the top of their group.
