Iranian Embassy Assures Safety of Indian Nationals Amid Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz

New Delhi, April 2: The intense conflict between Iran and the United States-Israel alliance has entered its second month. U.S. President Donald Trump continues to assert that Iran’s power has been significantly weakened, while Iran intensifies its attacks. Amid these escalating tensions, concerns regarding the Strait of Hormuz remain high. In this context, the Iranian Embassy in India has reassured that Indian nationals are in safe hands.

The Iranian Embassy in South Africa posted on the social media platform X, stating, “The future of the Strait of Hormuz will be determined solely by Iran and Oman. You are in safe hands; there is no cause for concern.” This message was subsequently reposted by the Iranian Embassy in India.

Abdul Mohammadi Khani, spokesperson for the Mayor of Tehran, reported that damage to housing units ranges from minor repairs, such as glass, doors, and windows, to major reconstruction or complete renovations. He noted that 1,869 families are facing housing difficulties, while approximately 1,245 families have been relocated to 23 residential complexes.

Mohammadi Khani further mentioned that repairs on over 4,000 residential units have commenced, supported either by the municipal body or through financial assistance.

In response to Trump’s speech, a spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement. The U.S. President had warned that Iran must agree to a deal within two to three weeks or face attacks on all its power plants.

In response to Trump’s threats, Ismail Baghaei stated, “We will not tolerate this vicious cycle of war, negotiations, ceasefires, and then the same pattern repeating.” He described the ongoing conflict as “devastating not only for Iran but for the entire region and beyond.”

Baghaei emphasized that as long as U.S.-Israeli attacks continue, Iran will respond accordingly. Tehran does not consider its Gulf neighbors as enemies.

He stated, “We have repeatedly said that we are determined to maintain good neighborly relations with all. The problem is that the U.S. and Israel are using their territories to carry out military attacks against Iran.”
