Lazaro shared on the social media platform X, stating, “Based on our recent discussions, we have achieved a positive understanding concerning the safety of our seafarers and the security of our energy supply.”
Last month, the Philippine government reported that approximately 7,300 Filipino seafarers were in high-risk areas of the Middle East, including the Arabian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman.
Iran’s Chief of Army Staff has indicated that they are monitoring the movements of the United States and Israel closely to prepare for any potential ground attacks.
The Iranian state news service IRNA released a video showing Major General Amir Hatami meeting with other military leaders. Hatami stated, “If the enemy attempts a ground operation, not a single person should survive.”
