Players with Most IPL Matches Yet to Win the Trophy

New Delhi, April 2: The 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicked off on March 28. Here’s a look at players who have played the most matches but have never won the IPL trophy.

AB de Villiers: Known for holding numerous records in IPL history, AB de Villiers has played 184 matches but has never been part of a championship-winning team. He represented Delhi and RCB but never clinched a final victory.

Sanju Samson: Playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026, Sanju Samson is among the unfortunate players who have never won a final in this league. He has participated in 178 matches without securing a title.

Yuzvendra Chahal: With 175 matches under his belt, Yuzvendra Chahal has also never won a final in the IPL. He was part of the Punjab Kings team that reached the finals in IPL 2025 but faced defeat.

Amit Mishra: The only bowler to take three hat-tricks in IPL, Amit Mishra has played 162 matches but has yet to be part of a championship team. Throughout his IPL career, he has played for several major teams without winning a final.
