Iqbal Ansari Welcomes President Murmus Upcoming Visit to Ayodhya

Mumbai, March 13: President Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Ayodhya on March 19. She will participate in several religious events at the Ram Temple, coinciding with the Hindu New Year celebrations. Iqbal Ansari, a key figure in the Ayodhya case, expressed his warm welcome for the President’s visit, stating, “It is our fortune that she is coming to our city.”

In an interview, Ansari remarked, “Ayodhya is a sacred city, the birthplace of Lord Ram. Those with good fortune get the chance to visit here. We are delighted that the President is coming; it is also a matter of luck for her.”

He praised the government for its efforts, saying, “It is the government’s responsibility to improve Ayodhya. This city embodies development, employment, and brotherhood.” Ansari emphasized that there is no other place in the country that exemplifies humanity as Ayodhya does, where deities are worshipped.

He encouraged people to visit Ayodhya and follow the path shown by God. “We are happy to welcome our country’s President, and it is our honor that she is coming to our city,” he added.

During her visit, President Murmu will inaugurate the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ and ‘Shri Ram Naam Mandir’ on the second floor of the temple complex. She will also participate in Vedic prayers starting around 9 AM, led by priest Ganeshwar Shastri and 51 Vedic scholars from South India, Kashi, and Ayodhya.

The President will honor approximately 400 workers who contributed to the temple’s construction and will hoist the flag at one of the temples located in the outer circle of the temple complex, known as ‘Parkota.’ Her convoy is expected to arrive at the temple complex around 11 AM, where she will stay for about four hours.

Many religious and social leaders, including spiritual gurus, are expected to attend the event. Around 5,000 special guests have been invited, with extensive arrangements made for security, seating, transportation, and accommodation.

Officials have stated that following the President’s program, the temple trust plans to open the other temples within the complex for devotees. Under the proposed arrangement, approximately 5,000 pilgrims will be allowed to visit the temples in the Parkota area daily through a pass-based system.
