New Delhi, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : The film “Hanuman Ansh,” produced on a modest budget, is making waves at the box office, garnering significant audience appreciation even amidst major releases. In light of its success, there are growing calls for the film to be designated tax-free in various states.
Defence Minister Sanjay Seth has written to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, requesting that the film be exempted from taxes. He emphasized that “Hanuman Ansh” effectively presents Indian culture, eternal values, and devotion to Lord Hanuman in a contemporary context. The film is based on the life and ideals of the revered saint Neem Karoli Baba, who holds a special place in the hearts of many in Jharkhand, with numerous devotees visiting his ashram in Kainchi Dham.
Seth noted that the film depicts timeless values such as truth, courage, and fidelity to dharma, which are essential for shaping the character of the youth. He described it as a wholesome family movie that fosters cultural connections within society.
In his letter to Chief Minister Soren, Seth argued that given the film’s social and cultural importance, making it tax-free in Jharkhand would allow people from all walks of life to experience it and embrace its spiritual messages. He believes that films like this play a vital role in promoting positive societal change.
The Uttarakhand government has already granted “Hanuman Ansh” tax-free status. Recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami viewed the film and shared his thoughts on social media, praising its portrayal of the life, dedication, and unwavering faith of Maharaj in Lord Hanuman. He noted that the film offers insights into the Maharaj’s life devoted to humanity, spiritual practice, and public welfare.
