Indian Leaders Honor Engineers Day and Pay Tribute to Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya

New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : On September 15, Indian leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, recognized Engineer’s Day by honoring the contributions of engineers and paying tribute to Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his respect on social media, stating, “On the birthday of the great engineer, Bharat Ratna Dr. M. Visvesvaraya, who guided the construction of modern India with his talent and technical skills, I pay my humble respects. Heartfelt greetings to all engineers on Engineer’s Day. A new India shaped by your intellect is a true tribute to Visvesvaraya’s dreams.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also took to social media, stating, “I pay my respects on the birth anniversary of the great engineer, Bharat Ratna Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, and extend warm wishes to all engineers on National Engineer’s Day. His contributions to nation-building through talent and dedication will always be remembered.”

In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma wrote, “On the birth anniversary of the great engineer and Bharat Ratna Dr. M. Visvesvaraya, I pay my deepest respects! On this occasion, warm wishes to all diligent engineers dedicated to nation-building on Engineer’s Day! Your technical skills and visionary thinking are helping India touch new heights of development.”

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared his thoughts, stating, “Heartfelt greetings to all engineers who contribute significantly to realizing a developed India through their knowledge, skills, and innovations. Bharat Ratna Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya’s extraordinary talent and vision have redirected the country’s infrastructure, irrigation, water management, and industrial development. Your unparalleled contribution to nation-building will always inspire us.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her admiration, saying, “I pay my respects to the great engineer and Bharat Ratna Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, who provided new direction to India’s reconstruction. Warm wishes to all hardworking engineers who propel nation-building through their talent, hard work, and technical skills on Engineer’s Day.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis posted, “I pay tribute on the birthday of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, who made extraordinary contributions to India’s infrastructure and progress, leaving behind a lasting legacy.”

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu reflected on Visvesvaraya’s legacy, noting, “Remembering Sir M. Visvesvaraya—a visionary whose expertise in water management, dam design, and infrastructure laid the foundation of modern India. Honored with Bharat Ratna in 1955, his dedication to precision and disciplined work continues to inspire engineers everywhere. Best wishes to all engineers shaping the future through innovation and problem-solving on Engineer’s Day!”

Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan remarked, “Every major achievement in progress stems from a visionary thought and an engineer who brings it to life. On National Engineers Day, I pay heartfelt tribute to Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a visionary engineer and nation-builder whose extraordinary intelligence, discipline, and dedication significantly contributed to India’s progress. His life exemplifies that engineering is not just about building structures but finding solutions, creating opportunities, and shaping the nation’s future.”

Kalyan further added, “Today, I salute all engineers across India whose knowledge, innovation, and determination have strengthened our infrastructure, advanced technology, and propelled the nation toward further progress—from ideas to innovation, from innovation to advancement, and from progress to a stronger India.
