
New Delhi, August 16: A significant opportunity has emerged for job seekers in the banking sector. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Customer Service Associates (CSA) under the Common Recruitment Process. A total of 11,403 positions are available across various states and union territories in the country.
The banks participating in this recruitment include Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Bank, and Punjab & Sind Bank.
The distribution of the 11,403 vacancies by states and union territories is as follows: Andaman and Nicobar Islands – 18, Andhra Pradesh – 186, Arunachal Pradesh – 45, Assam – 349, Bihar – 491, Chandigarh – 20, Chhattisgarh – 265, Dadra and Nagar Haveli – 18, Daman and Diu – 7, Delhi – 415, Goa – 61, Gujarat – 698, Haryana – 196, Himachal Pradesh – 97, Jammu and Kashmir – 67, Jharkhand – 182, Karnataka – 1,414, Kerala – 108, Ladakh – 6, Lakshadweep – 11, Madhya Pradesh – 570, Maharashtra – 1,051, Manipur – 42, Meghalaya – 22, Mizoram – 17, Nagaland – 31, Odisha – 337, Puducherry – 26, Punjab – 481, Rajasthan – 392, Sikkim – 28, Tamil Nadu – 675, Telangana – 191, Tripura – 64, Uttar Pradesh – 1,731, Uttarakhand – 145, and West Bengal – 946.
The online application process began on August 1 and will close on August 21. Eligible candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official IBPS website before the deadline. Candidates will have a two-day window after the application process closes to make corrections to their forms if needed.
Applicants must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, candidates should possess a certificate/diploma/degree in computer operations or have studied computer science as a subject in high school or college.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is 28 years, calculated as of August 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on an online preliminary exam (objective type), an online main exam (objective type), and a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹24,050 to ₹64,480, along with additional benefits and allowances. The preliminary exam is expected to be held in September.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹875 for General/OBC/EWS categories. Candidates from SC/ST/PWD/ESM/DESM categories will receive age relaxation as per rules.
